Qualcomm Technologies’ 2G/3G/4G/5G multimode modem provides multi-Gigabit low latency speeds, lane level navigation accuracy, and an integrated and comprehensive C-V2X, as well as Dual Sim Dual Active (DSDA) support enabled for the first time in an automotive platform—allowing the car and driver to choose their own independent network operator subscription.

  • LTE cloud connectivity: Supports 3GPP Rel-14 LTE with Full Dimension Multi-Input Multi-Output (FD-MIMO) for up to five aggregated LTE carriers, allowing the Snapdragon Automotive 4G Platform to utilize spectrum deployed by global carriers

Snapdragon X12 LTE Modem

Designed to enable auto manufacturers to develop next-generation systems with advanced telematics and connected infotainment features, the Snapdragon X12 LTE Modem supports speeds up to Category 10 and up to 60 MHz 3x CA (450Mbps) in the downlink to the car, and up to 40 MHz 2x CA (100Mbps) in the uplink to the network.

The Snapdragon X5 LTE modem is designed to enable automakers to broadly deploy LTE in all cars with speeds up to Category 4 (150 Mbps) in the downlink and 50 Mbps in the uplink.

V2V communication

Provide V2V communication technologies such as Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) support safety systems with non-line-of-sight and latency-sensitive collision avoidance capabilities—benefitting drivers, passengers, bikers, and others sharing the road.

V2I communication

Offer connected V2I communications for a variety of safety and interactivity applications, including DSRC, cellular for longer-range communication, signage for road-related information, and traffic signal phase timing for emissions control and reduced congestion.

V2P communication
