Snapdragon Summit 2023: Snapdragon Insider Mohamed recaps Day 2

Hey Snapdragon Insiders! I’m Mohamed (@smasithick on X and Instagram). I’m on-site for Snapdragon Summit, and I’m bringing you the Day 2 recap. It was a busy day so let’s hop right in.

(P.S. If you missed the Day 1 recap by Jeremy (@sinclairinat0r), be sure to check it out.)

We got up early — with so much to do and so little time, every moment counts! — and after sharing a delicious breakfast together, my fellow Snapdragon Insiders and I headed over to check out the Snapdragon Spotlights. Each session focused on a different technology, including mobile, sound, XR, and compute, and featured a deep dive into the new tech announced during yesterday’s keynote. Listening to brilliant people talk about new and exciting Snapdragon® technology was the perfect way to spend our morning.

From there, we headed off for a special surprise. With all the buzz around AI — inside and outside of the Summit — I was excited to hear we’d get to play with some of the technology ourselves. As a group, we worked with generative AI to create a piece of custom artwork for Summit — generated on Snapdragon, of course.

After our AI art session, we heard from Jeremy Sinclair — a Windows Insider — to hear about the Windows Insider program. Similar to the Snapdragon Insiders program, this is a community for people who love Windows. Through the program, fans get inside access to upcoming Windows features and can even give their feedback to Windows engineers. Pretty cool, right?

I’m also happy to share that it’s my 9th anniversary as a Windows Insider from the Windows Phone days till now with Windows 11. I’m excited that Snapdragon X Elite PCs are coming with Windows 11.

Then, we headed to the After Show, featuring some very special guests. Deb Marich (Senior Director, Product Marketing), Sarah McMurray (Staff Manager, Product Marketing) and Judd Heape (VP, Product Management) discussed the technologies from the spotlight sessions — and it was great to see so many Snapdragon Insiders join us virtually.

After dinner and some more time hanging with my fellow Snapdragon Insiders, we decided it was a wrap for Day 2.

It’s hard to believe the event is already coming to an end, but we’ve got one more recap coming your way tomorrow.
