We all want to move, and we all want to be moved. That’s the ethos that drives Snapdragon — and the inspiration behind this campaign. Shot exclusively on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the “Power to Move” film is a love letter to the entire Snapdragon ecosystem — and our first brand campaign shot entirely with a device powered by Snapdragon® technology.
We pushed boundaries with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra while making “Power to Move,” demonstrating the power of Snapdragon technology to capture high-definition motion and vivid colors in stunning 8K. To illustrate Snapdragon’s industry-leading camera capabilities, we captured users doing what they love most — from dancing or hooping in the park to swimming with loved ones and gaming with friends. And all of it was #ShotOnSnapdragon.
Snapdragon processors ignite your most moving experiences and creative potential so you can do all the things you love — better. Powerful tech moves you — and you move the world. Combining a zealous pursuit of innovation and a passion for making you feel more, Snapdragon processors power premium experiences across compute, mobile, wearables, and beyond. Capture the perfect group selfie. Enhance your morning workout. Blend your physical and digital worlds. Transform your smartphone into a console-defying gaming rig. And do it all with Snapdragon.
When filming “Power to Move,” we couldn’t resist giving you more access with a peek behind the scenes. The campaign’s Director of Photography, Damian Acevedo, said that shooting on a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra “opened up the opportunity to think on the fly, because we could rig it in a place in a short amount of time and get another shot that we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten.” A perfect illustration of the vast world of opportunities Snapdragon tech opens for its users.
Along with co-directors Viktor Horvath and Daphne Samaras, Acevedo and crew used the portability and industry-leading camera capabilities made possible by the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Snapdragon technology, including stunning 8K video. They were able to create something that wouldn’t be possible with a standard motion picture camera. Shooting the entire campaign on a device with a Snapdragon processor was an especially important priority for the creative team.
“We wanted to show how Snapdragon technology is used in different devices,” says Samaras. “So it made sense to us that we should shoot this film with a phone.”
Need to rig a camera to a city bus for an action shot? Not a problem with Snapdragon. What about a closeup of a DJ doing their thing at the club, with the camera spinning on a turntable? Again, easy. What about the soundtrack? As evidenced by frequent collaborator Matty Beats (@mattybeats on Instagram and @mattybeatsmusic on TikTok), music producers can write, record, edit, and iterate with Snapdragon audio tech. Using nothing but a laptop powered by a Snapdragon processor and headphones equipped with Snapdragon Sound™ Technology Suite, Matty created a “very energetic, very driving” soundtrack to accompany “Power to Move.” In other words, the perfect music for movement. But don’t take our word for it 🎧 👇
Of course, no Snapdragon story is complete without the inclusion of the Snapdragon Insiders community. That’s why we invited Snapdragon Insider Devin Arthur (@Lexcyn on X) along to capture even more BTS content. Devin — a legend of the #ShotOnSnapdragon milieu — was given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to document the making of the campaign, and he didn’t disappoint.
