Unveiled at MWC 2026: Truly personal AI powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform
The future? Yeah, it looks good on you. We proved it at Mobile World Congress 2026.
Here in Barcelona, we just announced a platform that’s helping tech as we know it take a giant leap forward:
Snapdragon® Wear Elite Platform.
Welcome to the era of Personal AI
If you haven’t heard, Snapdragon Wear Elite is redefining expectations and possibilities for the Personal AI revolution. The wearables you love—including rings, smartwatches, pins, and pendants—will become so much more than single-purpose accessories. They’ll become essential computing companions, connecting premium experiences across an Ecosystem of You.
How? On the specs side of things, Snapdragon Wear Elite isn’t just smart; it’s smarter. It’s the world’s first Snapdragon wearable platform with an integrated Qualcomm ® Hexagon ™ NPU, delivering powerful on-device AI performance, with up to 2 billion‑parameter model capability. And this platform unlocks unprecedented possibilities, with 5x faster single‑core CPU performance and up to 7x faster GPU performance, enabling fluid, low‑latency interactions.
Wearables powered by Snapdragon will keep up with your every move, too. Snapdragon Wear Elite enables up to 30% more battery life on your wearable of choice through a power‑optimized 3nm architecture, plus support for rapid charging and advanced connectivity features, from 5G RedCap and Micro‑Power Wi‑Fi to Bluetooth® 6.0 wireless technology.
From a user experience perspective, all this means next-generation intelligent wearables will be able to communicate seamlessly with smartphones, PCs, and other connected devices. They’ll continuously learn from, adapt to, and respond to your individual needs and context in real time.
Here’s a recap of the exciting, personalized use cases we presented at MWC in Barcelona:
· On-device speech translation: Imagine you’re touring a gallery in the city’s artsy Raval district. The curator says, “Hola, ¿cómo estás?” In your connected earbuds, you hear, “Hi! How are you?” thanks to real-time translation from Spanish to English running entirely on device.
· AI health coach: Fitness is serious business. Devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite can monitor your vitals, including blood oxygen, heart rate, temperature, and even fatigue levels, while guiding you through a workout.
· AI-enhanced camera: Snapdragon Wear Elite allows for video conferencing directly on device. Crisp, clear, 4K quality with image stabilization and camera support up to 16 megapixels.
· Advanced gestures: High-fidelity fine gesture resolution allows for intuitive, context-aware, and more accessible experiences. Control a robot toy with a pinch, swipe, or rotation of your wrist, for example. Or turn American Sign Language into speech, helping you communicate on the fly or uplevel fluency over time.
· AI recall: What’s left on your to-do list? Just ask your wearable. Memory retrieval from audio and video recordings has never been easier.
The first commercial devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite are expected to be available in the next few months, compatible with WearOS, Android, and Linux, and supported by a wide range of partners, including Google, Motorola, and Samsung.
AI experiences are about to be better connected, smarter, and (we can’t stress this enough) a whole lot more intentional. To learn more about how we’re powering Personal AI and an Ecosystem of You, read this OnQ dispatch from our very own Ziad Asghar.
