Snapdragon Summit 2025: Snapdragon Insider Josh Gives You the Day 1 Inside Scoop

Hey everyone, I’m Josh (@Josh_Quinonez on X, @josh_quinonez_ on Instagram). I’m beyond thrilled to be here on-site in Maui with my fellow Snapdragon Insiders for the Snapdragon Summit 2025. It is amazing to be surrounded by the community and tech I’ve followed for years. This year’s Snapdragon Summit kicked off in a huge way and it was amazing to see how Snapdragon has continued to redefine performance and shape the future of our connected experiences. That was front and center on Day 1 and I can’t wait to share my recap with you.

Touchdown in Paradise

The moment I stepped off the plane in Maui, I felt the buzz of anticipation. I’ve been a Snapdragon Insider for a while now, but this is my first time attending the Snapdragon Summit in person. From the moment I arrived, I could already tell my experience was going to be unforgettable.

I checked in, grabbed my welcome kit (yes, it included some seriously cool Snapdragon Insiders swag), and took a moment to soak in the view of the Pacific.

The night before the Snapdragon Summit officially kicked off, we all gathered for a special welcome dinner. It was the perfect icebreaker, providing a chance to meet other Snapdragon Insiders from around the world, swap stories about our favorite devices powered by Snapdragon, and share our excitement for what was coming.  Between the Hawaiian sunset, the amazing food, and the constant hum of tech talk, it felt like the start of something truly special.

Celebrating 18 years of Snapdragon Innovation

Snapdragon Summit officially began in the morning with the special Snapdragon Celebration Kickoff hosted by Qualcomm Technologies’ CMO Don McGuire. The stage was set against a backdrop of ocean and sky, and the energy was contagious. Don took us on a journey through 18 years of Snapdragon innovation, and 10 years of Snapdragon Summit — from the early days of mobile breakthroughs to the AI-powered, multi-device ecosystem we live in today. He also announced our Snapdragon Insiders Community has reached 20 million strong worldwide!

What struck me most was how personal it felt. He didn’t just talk about processors; he talked about moments. The first time Snapdragon brought console-level gaming to our phones. The way Snapdragon Sound Technology changed how we listen to music. The rise of devices powered by Snapdragon Platforms that can last for days on a single charge. As he spoke, I realized how many of my own favorite memories were powered by Snapdragon without me even thinking about it.

Speaking of favorite memories, one moment I will never forget is when Don invited me and my fellow contest winner Manos (@Orange_Scooter on X) on stage and presented us with Manchester United jerseys as a thank you for being part of the Snapdragon Insiders community!

Hands-On with the Future

After the kickoff, we got to explore the Snapdragon Interactive Zones, each one showcasing a different side of what Snapdragon technology can do. Some standout demos for me were the Snapdragon Soundstage where I got to remix music with AI tools that made me feel like a pro producer, and The Speed Zone by Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS F1, where I got to step into the driver’s seat of a high-performance racing simulator! Every drift and split-second decision were elevated to a training-grade simulation, demonstrating how Snapdragon transforms high-speed action into a showcase of elite performance.

Cristiano Amon’s CEO Vision: The ‘Ecosystem of You’

After a tasty lunch, we headed over to Qualcomm Technologies’ CEO Cristiano Amon’s Vision Keynote. He shared his vision for what’s next — a world where technology doesn’t just respond to us but anticipates our needs. He called it the ‘Ecosystem of You’ — and described a future where my phone, PC, car, and wearables all work together seamlessly, powered by Snapdragon intelligence. No more juggling between devices. Everything just flows.

His keynote ended on a high note with a live demonstration of agentic AI, which analyzed the social content of three of my fellow Snapdragon Insiders to generate personalized personas, visualized as custom images — and in a playful twist, those images were printed onto mocktails in real time after they joined him on stage for a birthday party celebrating 10 years of Snapdragon Summit.

Reflections at Sunset

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we headed to an amazing dinner at Hua Momona Farm, where we all got to debrief on the jam-packed day. The welcome night culminated in a breathtaking drone show that lit up the tropical sky. From the excitement of Don’s Snapdragon Celebration, the hands-on demos, to Cristiano’s Vision Keynote, Day 1 was everything I hoped it would be and more!

Tomorrow promises even bigger announcements, and I’m so excited to be front and center for all of them. But for now, I’m just grateful to be part of this incredible community, and grateful for the chance to see the future of technology unfold right in front of me.

Stay tuned for Day 2’s recap from one of my fellow Snapdragon Insiders and be sure to tune into the Product Announcement keynote and Snapdragon Insiders After Show
