Meet Rajeev — the October Snapdragon Insider of the Month

It’s everyone’s favorite time of the month: time to announce the latest Snapdragon Insider of the Month! For October, we’re introducing you to Rajeev (@Rajeevprpr on X and @rajeev.pr_ on Instagram) from India. Rajeev is passionate about wildlife photography and, of course, Snapdragon technology. Here’s what he had to say about being a Snapdragon Insider — but first, let’s hear from Rajeev 👇

What sparked your interest in technology?

I started my technology journey as a mobile photographer, which naturally led to an interest in smartphone technologies. In India, I think most people prefer devices with Snapdragon and are interested in the technology advancements happening with mobile phones. Once I got a device with Snapdragon technology or processor, I could really tell the difference in the processing power, especially with macro photography. Macro photography demands a good quality camera and a powerful processor to ensure the color is accurate and the depth is correct.

What’s your go-to device for photography powered by Snapdragon?

I’m currently using a Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G with the Snapdragon® 778G 5G Mobile Platform. I’m also planning to buy a OnePlus 11, which has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, to test it out for photography.

What’s the best photo you’ve ever taken with a smartphone camera powered by Snapdragon?

I couldn’t pick a favorite but I’m proud of the last two macro shots I took. One is a really close up picture of a dragonfly and the other is a close up of an ant. Those are some of my favorites.

How/why did you get involved with the Snapdragon Insider community?

I have been passively involved for a while, but I recently became actively involved because of Bhaumik (@BhaumikBheda1 on X and @bhaumik_bheda on TikTok and Instagram), who was actually the July Snapdragon Insider of the Month. He has always supported my photography and noticed I was posting a lot of #ShotOnSnapdragon pictures to Instagram. After the Snapdragon social media account liked my photos and encouraged me to keep posting — which was a real boost to me that such a well-known community is supporting me — I asked Bhaumik how I could get more involved with the community. He directed me to the Snapdragon Insiders Discord. After joining the Discord, I found a family within the Snapdragon Insiders community.

Who is your favorite Snapdragon Insider to follow?

There are so many. I like following Chad (@chadptorres on X), Jeffrey (@jeffrey_jpeg on X), and José Luis Asensio Fierro (@yo_mismo1 on X — but there are so many others. I know I could go anywhere in the world and find someone who is a Snapdragon Insider. In a few months, I’ll be in the United Kingdom, and I’m looking forward to meeting some Snapdragon Insiders there.

What do you like most about being a Snapdragon Insider?

It’s the community — there’s so much support in this community. I can post something and Snapdragon Insiders from all over the world will support me. It’s great to be a part of. All the people I listed above have given me incredible support and asked how I take my photos. Jeffrey is also in the OnePlus community and if I have any questions about OnePlus devices or photography, I know I can message him and ask him. The Snapdragon Insider community is the best — it’s full of wonderful people and I love being a part of it.

What's your dream photography collaboration?

I would like to collaborate with Wayne Gilbert (@iamwaynegilbert on X) because I’m interested in street photography. He’s a very good street photographer so I’d like to join him if I got the chance.

If budget/location wasn't an issue, what's your ideal photo shoot location?

I’m a wildlife photographer and for every wildlife photographer it's a dream to go to Maasai Mara in Kenya — that would be awesome. One of my friends is a famous photographer in Asia and he took a photo of a lion with his smartphone, and I’d like to be able to do the same.
