The Snapdragon Insiders community is such an incredible, global, and passionate group, and we like to celebrate the people who make our community so special. You may have seen our Snapdragon Insider of the Month posts over on Twitter — but now we want to take things up a notch.
For March 2023 and beyond, we’re expanding our Snapdragon Insider of the Month feature into a Q&A so community members can get to know their fellow tech enthusiasts on a deeper level. To kick things off, meet Alia Kalistiani (@Redribbon_26 on Twitter and @redribbon26 on Instagram), a Snapdragon Insider from Singapore. Let’s see what she has to say about being a Snapdragon Insider.
What sparked your interest in technology?
I became interested in technology because I saw the efficiency and convenience it brings to my daily activities. It makes my life and my work much easier. For example, technology enables communication around the world. Even if I’m separated from someone by distance, that doesn’t mean that we can’t “meet.” With high-speed internet and online platforms, I can easily communicate with people (including Snapdragon Insiders!) across the globe, especially my family members that live in different countries.
What’s your go-to device with Snapdragon?
Currently, it's my OPPO Find X5 Pro with the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform. My favorite feature is, of course, the camera. It has Hasselblad camera features and an impressive pro mode.
Why are you a fan of Snapdragon?
Phones with Snapdragon have proven to have better performance and be better quality. A phone with Snapdragon gets a smoother and more responsive experience when running demanding apps. I do my photo and video editing right on my phone, and the process from capturing images and videos to editing is seamless. Plus, video editing can consume a lot of power, so having such good battery efficiency is also key for me.
What’s the best photo you’ve ever taken with a smartphone camera with Snapdragon?
A photo of the Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport. I took it with the Honor Magic4 Pro I had at the time and it captured so much detail for such a large area.
What future tech are you most excited for?
I’m really excited about someday having a humanoid robot — like a home assistant robot — that can handle my household chores. I’m also looking forward to seeing more integrated smart technology in micromobilitiy services (scooters, ebikes, etc.) for short-distance trips, especially in Singapore. It’ll be nice to have my daily commute be more efficient and convenient.
How did you get involved with the Snapdragon Insiders community?
Mikael Hilger (@M1K4_3L on Twitter and @miketlse on Instagram) introduced me to the Snapdragon Insiders community. We met at an OPPO community event and he saw my passion for Snapdragon and invited me into the community. Thanks, Mikael!
I’ve only been a Snapdragon Insider for a few months but I’m looking forward to many, many months and years ahead. I love this community.
Who is your favorite Snapdragon Insider to follow?
This is hard. If I have to choose one, I’ll go with Jeffrey Riley (@jeffrey_jpeg on Instagram and Twitter). I really like his photography style — the compositions, the tones. I love moody tones in a photo.
What do you like most about being a Snapdragon Insider?
The community, and getting updates about the latest Snapdragon tech! I have felt really welcomed and have (virtually) met such wonderful, kind, and talented people who are willing to share with, motivate, and inspire others. I hope one day I can meet them in person, and meet the Snapdragon social media team who have put so much effort into making us feel heard.
