Congrats to Amelie on being Snapdragon Insider of the Month for November! Based in Mexico, Amelie is a technology and lifestyle content creator. She is deeply passionate about technological advancements and driven by a strong commitment to empowering women. Here is a message from Amelie before we dive into her interview:

What originally sparked your interest in technology?  

¿Qué despertó originalmente tu interés por la tecnología?

Ever since I was a little kid, my dad was a super techy guy. He always taught me the stuff that little girls were not usually interested in, so I always had the knowledge of what was new in technology. I grew up in that learning environment of technology, and I loved it. I fully embrace technology as a lifestyle!

 Desde que era pequeña, mi papá era muy tecnológico. Siempre me enseñaba cosas que normalmente no les interesan a las niñas, así que siempre estaba al tanto de las novedades en tecnología. Crecí en ese ambiente y me encantó. ¡Acepto completamente la tecnología como un estilo de vida! 

Can you describe a moment when Snapdragon^® technology made a significant difference in your life? 

¿Puedes describir un momento en el que la tecnología Snapdragon^® marcó una diferencia significativa en tu vida?

I think my first device with Snapdragon was the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which I got when I was in high school. It really impressed me with all the things you could do on a touchscreen phone and all the features it had. Even though it was a long time ago, it completely changed the way I thought about technology and what it could do. I think that was a pivotal moment for me. 

Creo que mi primer dispositivo con Snapdragon fue el Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, que compré cuando estaba en la preparatoria. Realmente me impresionó todo lo que se podía hacer en un teléfono inteligente y todas las funciones que tenía. Aunque fue hace mucho tiempo, cambió completamente mi forma de ver la tecnología y sus posibilidades. Fue un momento crucial para mí.

You attended Snapdragon Summit this year—did you have a favorite memory from your time at Snapdragon Summit as a whole? 

Asististe a Snapdragon Summit este año, ¿tienes un recuerdo favorito del Snapdragon Summit en partícular?

It's difficult to say because everything was awesome, but I was super impressed with the demonstration of the Video Object Eraser. It’s crazy because I've never seen anything like that. I love that I had the opportunity to be one of the first people to know about Snapdragon ^® 8 Elite. I learned a lot of things and I was really, really impressed with all the advancements. 

Es difícil elegir porque todo fue increíble, pero la demostración del Video Object Eraser me dejó impresionada. Nunca había visto algo así. También me encantó tener la oportunidad de ser una de las primeras en conocer el Snapdragon ^® 8 Elite. Aprendí mucho y quedé muy impresionada con todos los avances. 

At Snapdragon Summit, did you learn anything else surprising or make any valuable connections? 

En el Snapdragon Summit, ¿aprendiste algo que te sorprendiera o hiciste conexiones valiosas?

I met a lot of new people. I really didn't know anyone going to Snapdragon Summit at first, so it was cool to learn about the perspectives of my fellow Snapdragon Insiders, and their own vision of technology and how they use Snapdragon technology.

Conocí a mucha gente nueva. Al principio, no conocía a nadie, así que fue genial conocer las perspectivas de otros Snapdragon Insiders, su visión de la tecnología y cómo la usan. 

I also learned how Snapdragon technology is transforming the driving experience with the introduction of Snapdragon Ride^™ Elite Platform and Snapdragon Cockpit Elite Platform. It’s profound because you can see the technology in the vehicles, and when you learn about how it works, it really opens your eyes to the impact of this technology. Understanding how the technology powers these things makes it even more fascinating.

También aprendí cómo la tecnología Snapdragon está transformando la experiencia de conducción con Snapdragon Ride^™ Elite Platform y Snapdragon Cockpit Elite Platform. Es impresionante ver el impacto de la tecnología en los vehículos y entender cómo funciona, realmente te abre los ojos, lo que lo hace aún más impresionante. 

Do have any advice for women getting interested in tech for the very first time?

¿Tienes algún consejo para las mujeres que se interesan por primera vez en la tecnología?

It's not about gender; if you're interested in something, even if it's tech in the beauty industry, it's still tech. Some people may say it has to be something super advanced to be considered technology, but now everything is technology—it's all around us, even in the smallest things. So don't let anyone diminish your passion for anything, even if it seems small, because that's how it starts. It started that way for me too, with an interest in little things, and it kept growing because I kept learning. It begins with something small, and then it expands. So don't let anyone tell you what you should like—keep learning about it. That's the important part. Never stop learning. Don’t let anyone push you down.

No se trata de género; Si te interesa algo, incluso si es tecnología en la industria de la belleza, sigue siendo tecnología. Algunas personas pueden decir que tiene que ser algo muy avanzado para considerarse tecnología, pero hoy en día todo es tecnología, incluso en las cosas más pequeñas. Así que no dejes que nadie minimice tu pasión, aunque parezca pequeña, porque así es como comienza. Así empecé yo, con interés en pequeñas cosas, y este fue creciendo porque seguía aprendiendo. Comienza con algo pequeño y luego crece. Así que no dejes que nadie te diga lo que te debe gustar, sigue aprendiendo sobre ello. Esa es la parte importante. Nunca dejes de aprender y no permitas que te desanimen. 

What would you say is your favorite thing about being a Snapdragon Insider? 

¿Qué dirías que es lo que más te gusta de ser un Snapdragon Insider?

First, meeting all these new people from around the world is incredibly enriching. Connecting with individuals from China, Brazil, France, and other countries, and hearing their perspectives helped me grow.  Being part of the community has had a really positive impact on me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn about all this technology and to share it with others who couldn’t attend the events or may not know much about it. I think that’s one of the coolest aspects of being part of the Snapdragon Insiders community.

Conocer a personas de todo el mundo es increíblemente enriquecedor. Conectar con gente de China, Brasil, Francia y otros países, y escuchar sus perspectivas me ayudó a crecer. Ser parte de esta comunidad ha tenido un impacto muy positivo en mí. Estoy agradecida por la oportunidad de aprender sobre esta tecnología y compartirla con personas que no pudieron asistir a los eventos o que tal vez no sepan mucho sobre ella. Creo que ese es uno de los aspectos más padres de ser parte de la comunidad de Snapdragon Insiders.

What does being named Snapdragon Insider of the month mean to you and where would you like to see it go? 

¿Qué significa para ti ser nombrada Snapdragon Insider del mes y hacia dónde te gustaría que fuera?

I'm really proud of how far I've come because it all started with just an interest in technology, and I never imagined I’d be here simply because I liked it! I want to share more because I know technology can be hard to fully grasp, and I enjoy blending it with lifestyle so that people can see how technology is part of our everyday lives and can easily be integrated into theirs. I can see myself sharing more because I genuinely believe everyone can understand it better. It can be highly technical, but also accessible and easy to understand. In the end, everyone uses technology, and that’s why I enjoy sharing more about it.  

Estoy muy orgullosa de lo lejos que he llegado porque todo comenzó por el interés en la tecnología, ¡y nunca imaginé que estaría aquí simplemente porque me gustaba! Quiero compartir más porque sé que la tecnología puede ser difícil de entender, y disfruto combinándola con el estilo de vida para que las personas puedan ver cómo la tecnología es parte de nuestra vida diaria y puede integrarse fácilmente en la suya. Puedo verme compartiendo más porque realmente creo que todos pueden entenderlo mejor. Puede ser muy técnico, pero también accesible y fácil de entender. Al final, todos usamos tecnología, y es por eso que disfruto compartiendo más sobre ella.
