This year, Samsung revealed the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Series at Galaxy Unpacked, powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy mobile processor. Snapdragon Insiders John (@AlpacaAlpacaAl1 on X) and Fahim (@fahim_al_mahmud on X) attended the event and got an exclusive first look at these new devices.

So, what did they think of this tech-packed launch? Spoiler alert: they were blown away. Here’s what they had to say:

What was it like to see the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series unveiled in person at Galaxy Unpacked?

John: Incredible! Seeing it live is so different from watching it on TV or online. You can't prepare for the scope and grandeur of the in-person event. The energy there was off the charts—everyone was at an 11 out of 10 excitement level.

Fahim: It was truly amazing! Feeling the ambience and seeing the scale of the stage in person was so much better than watching it on TV. It's an experience unlike any other. I was also struck by how engaged and enthusiastic the tech community was during the event.

You were one of the first people to receive a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra at the event. What’s been your favorite feature so far?

John: I really like the new log format video recording. The improved shutter speed makes it easier to capture sharp photos of moving objects, significantly reducing motion blur. I took photos of people walking while I was in a moving vehicle in San Francisco, and they came out incredibly clear.

Fahim: You can really see the camera improvements across the board, from ultrawide all the way to telephoto. A big part of that is the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and its improved image signal processing. They talked about the upgrades to the CPU, GPU, and NPU during the presentation, and it really shows. Even though the hardware is similar to the last generation, the S25 Ultra takes way better pictures, especially in low light. I was genuinely impressed by the overall camera performance. After the event, we went on a photo walk, and I took over 1,000 photos!

What was your favorite part of the experience outside of Samsung Galaxy Unpacked?

John: Exploring San Francisco was definitely a big highlight. I was able to take a tour and see some amazing sights. My favorite photos I took are of a trolley car in San Francisco, a street where buildings framed a distant bridge, and the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset. Plus, it was great finally getting to meet and hang out with fellow Snapdragon Insider, Fahim!

Fahim: Besides the photo walk itself, which I thoroughly enjoyed, it was the community aspect. Walking around San Francisco, talking about tech with everyone, getting to meet John, and taking photos were all highlights of the trip. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge in person for the first time was truly special. My favorite shot from the trip is of the Golden Gate Bridge, which I've set as my S25 Ultra phone wallpaper.

What's your biggest takeaway from Galaxy Unpacked?

John: Everything was amazing, from the devices to the overall launch. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is incredible. I'm using the S25 Ultra right now, and the battery life is a game-changer—I end the day with 55–60% left! The photos are stunning, and it feels so much faster than the S24 Ultra. I love the rounded design, and it's much more comfortable to hold.

Fahim: I was really impressed by the introduction of log video recording. It's a game-changer for mobile videography and allows for professional color grading. But beyond that, getting to use the S25 Ultra firsthand has been remarkable. They've meticulously improved every aspect of this phone, from camera performance and battery life down to the smallest details. It's a true generational leap.
