Among the week's most anticipated moments is the Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing (P&E Wing) Celebration — an event that recognizes the visionaries who shape the way we experience music while showcasing the latest in audio technology.

Snapdragon Insiders Archie (@archiebeatz on X and Instagram) and Joshua (@_joshuatimothy on X and Instagram) got a front row seat to the P&E Wing celebration, capturing the energy and innovation that fuel the music industry’s biggest week of the year. 

From high‑tech demos to a backstage tour of the 68th GRAMMY Awards, they saw first‑hand how Snapdragon® technology is driving production in the studio and delivering lossless clarity for audiophiles who want to experience sound exactly as the artist intended.

Stepping Into the Buzz of GRAMMY Week

Snapdragon Insiders Archie and Joshua arrived in Los Angeles and found themselves surrounded by some of the industry’s most talented minds, ready to immerse themselves in the celebration.

 

 

Getting Hands-On with the Future of Sound Technology 

The GRAMMY Week P&E Wing Celebration kicked off with a cocktail hour, where our Snapdragon Insiders and other guests experienced our latest innovations up close. They experienced demos showing how Snapdragon X Series processors deliver desktop-class performance for demanding digital audio workstations—powering complex sessions with multiple tracks, real-time effects, and heavy plugins without lag. For music lovers, Snapdragon Sound Technology preserves every detail of the music, from the first note to the final nuance, delivering lossless, high-resolution audio exactly as the artist intended.

 

“There are two things that stuck with me the most about the P&E Celebration Event. The first was being in the presence of some of the greatest producers and engineers and finding a new appreciation for what goes into the music that we all love. The second was the demo of Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless. Over the past few years, I have been replacing all the mp3s in my library with new copies of lossless FLAC files, and have switched back to using a wire where possible. I cannot believe that I can now listen to my favorite music in lossless formats over Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound. The depth and dynamic range of the music combined with a stage of distinct instruments separated from the vocals is something you have to experience for yourself. The low latency will also allow editing on the go, without having to worry about audio and video going out of sync.” - Joshua

 

The Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing Celebration

Following the reception and demos, it was time for the main event. This year, the P&E Wing honored legendary producer, engineer, and mixer Jimmy Douglass for his contributions to the music industry.

For more than four decades, Douglass has been a driving force in music innovation, blending funk‑bass into rock and pioneering the sound of contemporary R&B and hip‑hop alongside icons including Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Aretha Franklin, and The Rolling Stones.

 

 

Going Behind the Curtain at the GRAMMY Awards

The excitement continued the next morning as Archie and Joshua joined an exclusive technical backstage tour of the Crypto.com Arena, seeing firsthand how the GRAMMY Awards come to life.

“The technical backstage tour at Crypto.com Arena during the Grammys was easily one of the best tours of my professional career. Seeing the broadcast and mixing trucks up close was incredible — the way they’re designed to handle the sheer scale and complexity of the show’s audio workload was truly next level. As a Grammy Voting Member and P&E Wing member, I was especially struck by how many skilled professionals it takes to bring the Grammys together at this level. I’ve attended the show multiple times from a red carpet perspective, but getting to experience it from behind the scenes was completely different — and honestly much more my speed as a true audio nerd." - Archie
