Photos, Fun, and Community at the #ShotOnSnapdragon Discord Meetup

Snapdragon Insiders from all over the world came together virtually on December 10th for the first-ever #ShotOnSnapdragon Discord Meetup, hosted by SnapdragonCarla! The event gave photography enthusiasts a chance to connect with each other, share their experiences, and learn more about how devices powered by Snapdragon enhance mobile photography.

Here's a summary of the key highlights:

  • Our Product Marketing Manager, Charley Beeman, kicked things off with a special presentation about the perks of using devices powered by Snapdragon® technology for photography. He provided useful insights for Snapdragon Insiders, highlighting how AI adapts to image conditions by optimizing exposure, color, and skin tones, while adjusting settings for factors like sky conditions.

  • Select Snapdragon Insiders shared their #ShotonSnapdragon photos from the October, November, and December themes. Snapdragon Insider @yo_mismo1 wowed the group with his stunning starry night shot featuring a shooting star, captured with the OnePlus 8 Pro for #InTheStars. The #SnapdragonEats theme had Snapdragon Insiders posting their mouthwatering shots of pastries and colorful dishes, while #TimeToCelebrate brought out their favorite festive scenes.

  • There were some exciting surprises for a few lucky participants from the monthly theme challenges! Standout photographers were recognized and will be rewarded with a T-shirt and their photo framed—a fun way to celebrate creativity within the community.

  • The meetup concluded with a look to the future, with discussions around potential themes for 2025, such as street and night photography, and coffee.

The event brought together a creative group of Snapdragon Insiders eager to share their knowledge and passion for mobile photography. There’s always something new to learn and explore in this vibrant community—stay tuned next year for more meetups and photography tips.
