We use language to make each other laugh, share stories, build community, and enrich our lives. Conversations inspire us to think bigger. They challenge us to be more imaginative, intentional, and empathic — more human. Recently, we asked a group of people to sit down and have a conversation about what moves them. The only hitch? They don’t speak the same language. They’ll be using language translation software enhanced with [AI on a laptop with a Snapdragon Compute Platform](https://www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/pcs-and-tablets/features/computeai) to communicate with one another. ![Qualcomm-image](https://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/dmqualcommprod/Inline_1_688x459?$QC_Responsive$&fmt=png-alpha&wid=700) The need for seamless cross-cultural communication has grown exponentially, and with it, solutions that are revolutionizing the way we connect, collaborate, and understand one another. By harnessing the power of Snapdragon and on-device AI, future experiences like real-time language translation are smooth and continuous, making conversations as fluid as if one language is being spoken. With this revolutionary technology at our fingertips, we’ll be empowered to speak freely and naturally with our language-diverse peers and friends all around the world, bridging the gap between cultures and bringing us closer together. Let’s examine how Snapdragon is revolutionizing collaboration features in ways that feel more natural and intuitive than ever before and explore how AI is building togetherness. Snapdragon platforms are engineered to process intricate AI models directly on device, bringing experiences once unattainable within reach. We enable AI capabilities such as image and speech recognition, natural language processing and more. These advancements, powered by the [Snapdragon Compute Platform](https://www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/pcs-and-tablets) which features the Hexagon NPU, allow your laptop to operate more efficiently and provide you with a more personalized experience. In combination with Windows Studio Effects, Snapdragon Compute Platforms bring you accelerated versions of Voice Focus, Background Blur, Eye Contact, and Automatic Framing. By intelligently offloading these computationally intensive tasks to our Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, you can leverage AI-enhanced features without connecting to the cloud, freeing the central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU) to deliver better performance for all your other tasks. Language and collaboration are integral to effective communication with others and building relationships that last a lifetime. Snapdragon and on-device Ai remove the barriers to making meaningful connections. We love empowering our Snapdragon Insiders to connect with each other and the community in new, exciting, and memorable ways. **Learn more about [AI on Snapdragon Compute](https://www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/pcs-and-tablets/features/computeai).** [AI](https://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/news?tags=AI) When commenting in the Snapdragon Insiders forums, please follow our terms of use found [here](https://www.qualcomm.com/site/terms-of-use).
