I never expected to win, so I was thrilled to receive a DM saying I’d scored four VIP tickets to the derby. The real money-can’t-buy moment came just after the final whistle… We arrived at Old Trafford a few hours before kick-off and headed straight to the hospitality suite for a three-course lunch and a few drinks. The food was next level: a prawn risotto starter, followed by a perfectly cooked steak, finished with a delicious strawberry cheesecake. A surprise highlight was hearing from not one, but two Manchester United legends, Alex Stepney and Denis Irwin, who shared honest, funny and sometimes emotional reflections from their days on the pitch. Our seats gave us a perfect view of the game. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect: loud, tense, full of energy. Watching United take a 2–0 win over City in a packed stadium was unreal. Much of the day I captured using my Meta smart glasses powered by Snapdragon, which were also part of the prize bundle – I can’t stop scrolling back through the clips even now. The best part? Post-match, we went to the tunnel to meet some of the first-team players, still buzzing from the win. We had handshakes, quick chats, took photos, and got the match ball and my beloved United shirt signed – something I’ll never forget. The day was more than football – it was the full experience. Even the walk away from the stadium through the crowds was electric. Manchester was well and truly Red that day. If you are not a Snapdragon Insider yet, you are seriously missing out – they love putting tech and match experiences in the hands of their fans. Take this as your reminder: they’re worth a follow 😊.
