The Qualcomm Student Ambassador Program is an exclusive initiative designed to empower university students by promoting their innovative projects and research. This program leverages Qualcomm Technologies' cutting-edge developer platforms to provide students with unique opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Access to a Qualcomm developer platform selected to best support your work in the program.
Guidance From a Qualcomm Mentor
Personalized, reasonable mentorship from a Qualcomm employee who will help you navigate projects, technology, and ambassador responsibilities.

Opportunities to attend select Qualcomm events, offered at Qualcomm’s discretion.
Qualcomm Swag
Official Qualcomm branded promotional items to help you represent the program.
Official Ambassador Recognition
The ability to call yourself a Qualcomm Student Ambassador when participating in approved program activities and following Qualcomm branding guidelines.
Event Support Opportunities
Potential support for events you organize as an ambassador, subject to Qualcomm approval and any applicable requirements.
Note: Benefits are personal to each student, have no cash value, may vary by region or availability, and can be changed or discontinued by Qualcomm at any time.
Student Ambassador Responsibilities
Lead a Technical Project
Propose, design, and publicly publish at least one original project using the platform of choice, with clear milestones and deliverables.
Host Engaging Events
Run at least one event to showcase the completed project and inspire engagement within the academic community.
Drive Social Presence
Share social media content highlighting each project and event, following Qualcomm branding guidelines.
Build Campus Community
Organize meet ups, host 1–2 showcase events, and collaborate with clubs or hackathon teams to support peer innovation.
Communicate Progress
Submit biweekly written updates, participate in a midpoint mentor check in, and present outcomes at a final showcase to Qualcomm leadership.
Selection Process
The Qualcomm Student Ambassador Program recognizes and empowers top performing university students who have excelled in Qualcomm affiliated academic, technical, and innovation initiatives. To maintain a high caliber cohort and ensure full compliance, participation is invite only.
Basis for Invitation
Students are invited based on proven excellence in previous Qualcomm supported activities, including but not limited to:
- Hackathons
- Research collaborations
- Workshops and technical bootcamps
- Innovation challenges
- Educational cohorts and training programs
Invited students consistently demonstrate:
- Meaningful, sustained engagement
- Strong technical or leadership performance
- Professionalism and positive conduct
Merit Based Criteria
Ambassador selection is grounded in demonstrated achievement. Invitations are issued based on:
- Excellence in Qualcomm affiliated programming
- Quality and impact of contributions
- Alignment with ambassador responsibilities
Global Ambassador Requirements
For non‑U.S. students or non‑U.S. citizens:
- An FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) review is required prior to selection
- Additional regional compliance checks may be necessary
- No ambassador position is confirmed until all compliance approvals are complete.
