Qualcomm's 5G Timeline

Be the first to hear about our 5G breakthroughs.

The year we explained that 5G is much more than mmWave.

5G is based on OFDM and will support all spectrum types and bands, from low and mid-band in the sub-6 GHz to high bands in the mmWave range, as well as licensed, unlicensed, and shared spectrum.
The path to 5G is a continuous process that started the day Qualcomm was founded. Our objective is to apply our extensive experience to system problems that arise in the design, analysis, implementation, and testing of digital communication processing systems and networks in order to bring reliable, functionally effective, user-friendly products to the marketplace.
