The Qualcomm Smart Audio Platform is designed to bring together a powerful combination of processing, connectivity options, voice user interfaces and premium audio technologies, to help deliver a highly flexible, unique end-to-end single-vendor smart speaker solution. With our proprietary audio technologies integrated, the platform supports high resolution audio, whole-home networked audio, echo cancellation, beamforming, noise suppression and barge-in wake-word detection. It supports both Linux and Android Things operating systems, as well as voice services from major providers.
The Qualcomm Smart Audio Platform is offered on two different hardware options – APQ8009 or APQ8017, and also as a Development Kit qualified for Amazon Alexa Voice Service, based on a six-microphone design. To support developers there is a comprehensive set of software configurations which are designed to address smart speaker use cases for virtually all tiers of product.
