UltraHD
The Snapdragon XR1 Platform is designed to allow users to get further immersed in their favorite movies, programs and sports by supporting UltraHD 4K video resolution at 30 frames per second.
Qualcomm Spectra ISP
The Qualcomm Spectra™ ISP, a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries, in a Snapdragon XR1 Platform has new dedicated hardware and software algorithms that can eliminate unwanted noise, creating a substantially superior final picture.
Integrated display processor
The integrated display processor in the Snapdragon XR1 Platform supports a range of display options with hardware accelerated composition, 3D overlays, and support for leading graphics APIs including OpenGL, OpenCL, and Vulkan—allowing users to experience breathtaking and beautiful immersion.
Advanced vision processing
The platform also features advanced vision processing capabilities necessary for technologies like Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO)—so users within AR experiences can move around in a virtual world or interact with augmented objects.
Audio
The Snapdragon XR1 Platform uses a variety of our audio technologies including our 3D Audio Suite, Qualcomm Aqstic™ Audio Technologies, and Qualcomm® aptX™ Audio, products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries, for high-fidelity audio experiences and always-on, wake-word activated voice assistance, as well as Bluetooth playback. And head-related transfer functions (HRTF) enable users' ears to synthesize binaural sound that feels like it's coming from a specific point in space.
Interaction
With three- and six-degrees of freedom (3DoF, 6DoF) head tracking and controller capabilities for XR devices, the Snapdragon XR1 Platform gives users a greater level of freedom to move around, interact, and play within their virtual and augmented world.

Qualcomm Technologies continues to drive the XR ecosystem forward with our new Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ XR1 AR Smart Viewer reference design powered by the Snapdragon XR1 Platform. Smart Viewers are a type of augmented reality glasses that overlay digital information into your field of vision. Our XR1 AR Smart Viewer reference design is engineered to improve the user experience by including the processing power of the Snapdragon XR1 chipset on the glasses, while also sharing processing with a connected Snapdragon 5G smartphone or PC device. Now hardware manufacturers can accelerate their design and development of commercial Smart Viewer solutions via early access to the latest technology and features of the Snapdragon XR1 chipset and reference design.
