Support for major global and regional GNSS satellite constellations

Snapdragon® Automotive 4G and 5G modems support major global and regional GNSS satellite constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, IRNSS, Beidu, and QZSS operating concurrently on the L1, L2 and L5 frequency bands.

High-precision GNSS

The Qualcomm® Automotive Precise Positioning Framework is designed to provide consistency in access and use of GNSS precise positioning information in support of third-party precise positioning engines and associated correction services. Tight integration of this GNSS functionality--in conjunction with the modem reception of the corrections-- minimizes latencies and enhances performance of the precise positioning solution for next-generation vehicles.

Extending coverage with Qualcomm® Automotive Dead Reckoning

Qualcomm Automotive Dead Reckoning (Qualcomm DR) uses vehicle information and inertial sensors in addition to GNSS to extend coverage and to improve performance in GNSS denied or compromised environments, including open sky, light urban, dense urban, and tunnels and garages.

Qualcomm® Automotive Vision Enhanced Precise Positioning (VEPP)

Qualcomm® Vision Enhanced Precise Positioning (Qualcomm VEPP) software adds camera and GNSS corrections to our GNSS and DR sensor set to facilitate lane-level accurate positioning in the global frame in virtually all driving environments using Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ platforms.

Qualcomm® GNSS Assistance Service

Our cloud-based service is designed to provide extended GNSS orbits and associated information to accelerate position fix and integrity.
