Qualcomm 624 Home Hub platform, and APQ8053 are products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.. and/or its subsidiaries. SOMs and development kits are made available through approved Qualcomm third-party distributors.
For many device makers, the challenges of developing IoT devices like home hubs, smart displays, robotics and smart appliances can be a complex task, requiring OEMs to bring together connectivity, compute and security hardware and software elements. Our Home Hub platforms are designed to integrate the necessary technologies, with support for voice interfaces, AI/machine learning, connectivity, edge computing and cloud integration to support a wide range of IoT devices.
Our purpose-built Home Hub platforms supports Android Things to bring the Google Assistant into households virtually everywhere. This platform is designed to help OEMs and developers to solve development challenges with comprehensive solutions based on the APQ8053 processor to quickly and cost-effectively develop home hubs featuring Google services such as Google Cast, video conferencing using Google Duo and Google Maps. Additionally, the Qualcomm 624 Home Hub Platform supports Google’s TensorFlow for machine learning applications.
To further facilitate fast and cost-effective development of AI-enabled home hubs and devices, Qualcomm Technologies is working with distributors to design and make available certified System-on-Modules (SoMs), reference designs and development boards based on both variants of the Qualcomm Home Hub platform.
