Divide by 2 Charge Pump for high efficiency single cell battery charging

The SMB1390 is a single-input, programmable single-cell Lithium-ion/Lithium-polymer battery charger. SMB1390 is a divide-by-two charge pump, providing the highest efficiency for charging high-capacity cells, up to 6 A fast charge capability per SMB1390. The device provides +28 V DC withstand, wide operating input range of 3.6 to 12 V, and allows for the elimination of inductors common to buck regulator solutions.
