High efficiency buck regulator for parallel charging

The SMB1355 parallel charger is paired with the Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI) family of stand-alone chargers to enable a high current, low profile Li+ battery charging system. The QTI parallel charging topology allows the maximum charging current with minimum temperature on the chassis, or skin, of the end-use equipment.


The SMB1355 provides up to 94% efficiency at 3 A battery current. The device is compatible with a wide variety of HVDCP travel adapters, and is compatible with Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ technology.
