On December 17th, BlackBerry released the BlackBerry Classic, a device created with long-time users in mind that merges the familiar QWERTY keyboard, and optical trackpad navigation design with cutting-edge performance.
Built for speed and reliability, the BlackBerry Classic is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 Plus processor, running on the latest version of BlackBerry OS 10.3.1, with 16GB of on board memory and 2GB of RAM with an option for MicroSD storage up to 128GB. The device’s body is comprised of high quality material and finishes to improve grip and protect the 720x720 pixel, 3.46-inch (291 PPI) touch screen display from impact.
BlackBerry Blend, a secure remote desktop application featured on BlackBerry Classic, lets you send texts and BBMs from your desktop computer. Android and BlackBerry apps are available through BlackBerry World and the Amazon Appstore.
The BlackBerry Classic features an 8MP rear-facing camera capable of 1080P HD video and a 2MP front-facing camera. Creating beautiful still photography is easy with HDR, autofocus and LED Flash features.
The BlackBerry Classic is currently available unlocked through the BlackBerry site and at Amazon, with AT&T announcing they have plans to carry the smartphone in 2015.
