LyveHome, a new photo and video management system that’s powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 processor, is available to pre-order starting today for $299. The brainchild of engineer Tim Bucher (who’s put in time at Dell, Microsoft and Apple), LyveHome is a small bookshelf-speaker-sized cloud-connected digital photo album. With a 5-inch touchscreen for easy navigation through indexed images, the box syncs and protects photos stored on a range of mobile devices for smart, simple media organization.
Paired with the accompanying Lyve app (available for iOS, Android, and OS X, with Windows support at a later date), LyveHome unites your devices to organize, protect and store your photos and videos. Copying content from Lyve-enabled devices (whether it’s your smartphone, tablet, computer and connected external hard drives) to its own cloud – known as the ‘infinite camera roll’ – as they’re captured, LyveHome means that your mobile devices will virtually never run out of storage, no matter how click-happy you are.
Combining the 2-terabyte capacity of the LyveHome box itself and the smarts of the Lyve photo-sorting algorithm, LyveHome ensures that your images are saved in at least two different places at once. Plus, Lyve pinpoints when and where photos were taken, using recorded time signatures and location data to automatically create albums.
Be quick – the VIP pre-order event runs for just 72 hours and stock is limited. You can sign up for more insider announcements on the LyveHome site.
