One of the hottest jumbo-sized cell phones available has come to Verizon Wireless: The HTC One max, a large-sized smartphone, launched this week on the network at a price of $299.99 with a new two-year contract.
A choice of purchase plans is available on Verizon for the new handset. If you don't want to pay anything up front, the Verizon EDGE plan is available for the One max at a price of $25.22 per month. It also requires a two-year commitment but also gives you access to free upgrades every year. Alternatively, you can pay $599.99 up front for the phone with no contract required (and instead pay for service on a month to month basis).
The phone features a mammoth 5.9-inch display with Full 1080p HD resolution. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and offers 2GB of RAM and 32GB of total storage. A microSD card expansion slot lets you add additional storage of up to 64GB when you add your own card.
As usual, two cameras are included, including a rear-facing HTC UltraPixel Camera that also comes with a flash that can fire at five levels of brightness, automatically determined based on the ambient lighting conditions. The front camera has a 2.1 megapixels of resolution which can shoot 1080p HD video. Other features include smile detection and an object removal option that lets you do a quick edit on your photos to delete unwanted items, without ever having to download pictures from the phone.
The battery promises up to 25.5 hours of talk time, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is pre-installed, with HTC's Sense 5.5 skin loaded on top of it. Get full specs and features from HTC.
