Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced a series of innovations ahead of Network X 2026 designed to help accelerate the transformation of broadband networks into intelligent, AI-native service platforms. As operators seek to deliver increasingly personalized, secure and responsive experiences, Qualcomm Technologies is combining advanced connectivity, edge AI and network intelligence across fiber, Wi-Fi, fixed wireless access and broadband infrastructure to help unlock the next generation of network and subscriber experiences. The announcements build on Qualcomm Technologies' vision of AI-native networking, where intelligence is embedded throughout the network to improve performance, simplify operations and enable new services.

"Broadband networks are evolving from connectivity platforms into intelligent service platforms," said Gautam Sheoran, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Connectivity, Broadband and Networking, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. "As AI becomes increasingly integrated into consumer and enterprise experiences, operators need networks that can do more than move data. At Network X 2026, Qualcomm Technologies is demonstrating how advanced connectivity, edge AI, intelligent services and next-generation broadband infrastructure can work together to help operators deliver richer subscriber experiences, improve operational efficiency, expand broadband reach and unlock new opportunities for innovation. Across fiber, Wi-Fi, fixed wireless access and network infrastructure, we are helping build the foundation for a new generation of AI-native broadband networks."

Advancing AI-Native Broadband with gFiber
At Network X 2026, Qualcomm Technologies and gFiber are showcasing how the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ NPro A8 Elite Platform is helping redefine the role of the broadband gateway. Built on the platform, the gFiber Wi-Fi 8 Premium Gateway, designed to support gFiber's symmetrical 20 gig broadband service, combines concurrent quad-band Wi-Fi 8 connectivity, a dedicated Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU and a powerful penta-core CPU to enable AI inferencing and intelligent services directly on the gateway. By bringing intelligence to the edge, the platform helps reduce reliance on cloud processing while enabling more responsive and personalized experiences. The platform transforms the gateway from a device that simply delivers connectivity into an intelligent service platform capable of supporting agentic AI, personalized subscriber experiences and new value-added services.

As broadband networks continue to evolve, the platform demonstrates how operators can move beyond delivering connectivity alone to enabling intelligent services that create greater value for subscribers. At Network X, Qualcomm Technologies and gFiber will demonstrate how on-device AI can enable intuitive network management, connected-home experiences and next-generation broadband services. Introducing Dragonwing Security and Management
Qualcomm Technologies is introducing Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Security and Management (SAM), an intelligent services framework across the Dragonwing broadband portfolio designed to help operators transform broadband intelligence into subscriber value. Dragonwing SAM combines device intelligence, service intelligence, security services and cloud intelligence to provide deeper visibility into broadband environments, optimize quality of experience, strengthen protection across connected devices and networks, and support more effective customer care. These capabilities can help operators deliver differentiated subscriber experiences, deepen customer engagement and create new opportunities for value-added services.

Built as an open and flexible software framework, Dragonwing SAM supports diverse broadband platforms, gateways and silicon environments, enabling operators to deploy and scale intelligent services across their installed broadband base. The framework provides a foundation for third-party applications and future service innovation while offering a streamlined deployment path across Dragonwing Wi-Fi 8 networking platforms.

Expanding Broadband Reach with Dragonwing Infrastructure Solutions
As operators continue to expand broadband access and modernize network infrastructure, Qualcomm Technologies is showcasing the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Point-to-Multi-Point (PtMP) Platform and Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Point-to-Point (PtP) Platform, designed to deliver high-capacity wireless connectivity across a wide range of deployment scenarios. The Dragonwing PtMP Platform supports fiber-like connectivity for multi-subscriber broadband deployments, helping service providers extend coverage efficiently while maintaining high performance. The Dragonwing PtP Platform provides high-capacity licensed-band backhaul connectivity, supporting reliable network expansion and transport applications.

Built on custom mmWave access point and customer premises equipment (CPE) technology, both platforms leverage licensed spectrum for dependable connections, a TDMA scheduler for low latency, and high-capacity, long-range performance to maximize coverage. Multi-standard frame synchronization enables interference reduced interoperability, while the end-to-end system architecture provides operators with a cost-effective and flexible deployment. This custom approach leverages mmWave in a way that better fits the technical implementation, feasibility and cost requirements for emerging nations. Together, these Dragonwing infrastructure solutions help service providers deliver scalable broadband services and meet growing demand for high-performance connectivity.

Driving the Next Generation of Fixed Wireless Access
Qualcomm Technologies is introducing the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ FWA Gen 6 Elite Platform, a next-generation fixed wireless access solution designed to help operators extend intelligent, high-performance broadband beyond the reach of traditional wired networks. Built on Qualcomm® X105 5G Modem-RF, the platform combines 5G Advanced, integrated non-terrestrial network (NTN) capabilities, agentic AI and tri-band Wi-Fi 8 to create a more intelligent and flexible broadband platform for homes, businesses and remote environments.

Powered by the fifth-generation Qualcomm 5G AI Processor, the platform is designed to dynamically adapt to changing network conditions, optimize connectivity and help deliver responsive user experiences across demanding applications. By combining advanced 5G connectivity, AI, NTN and Wi‑Fi 8, the Dragonwing FWA Gen 6 Elite Platform helps operators expand broadband coverage, improve performance and create a flexible foundation for the next generation of connected experiences.

Together, these innovations demonstrate the breadth of Qualcomm Technologies’ approach to advancing broadband, spanning fiber gateways, Wi-Fi 8, intelligent services, fixed wireless access and high-capacity network infrastructure. By bringing advanced connectivity, edge AI, security and network intelligence together across the broadband ecosystem, Qualcomm Technologies is helping operators modernize their networks, extend high-performance connectivity to more communities, and transform broadband infrastructure into intelligent service platforms that can support differentiated experiences and new services.
