Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today at Uplinq 2012 announced the addition of new games to the Snapdragon™ GamePack, which already catalogs more than 100 featured games for Snapdragon-enabled, Android- and Windows-based smartphones and tablets. The new games include critically acclaimed “Max Payne Mobile” from Rockstar Games, “Cut the Rope” from ZeptoLab, “Death Rally” from Remedy Entertainment Ltd., and “Team Dragon” from Khaeon Gamestudio, which will launch with a one-year exclusive on Snapdragon-enabled Android devices.
Known for its stylish and groundbreaking gunplay, the original “Max Payne” has won multiple awards over the years, including Best PC Game from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Golden Joystick Award from Dennis Publishing, Best Game of 2001 from the European Computer Trade Show, Best PC Action Game from The Electric Playground, Best PC Game of 2001 from Amazon.com, Best Xbox Game from GameSpot, and the Editor’s Choice Award from IGN.
“These gaming additions and relationships bolster the Snapdragon GamePack as the platform of choice for consumers looking for the optimal mobile gaming experience,” said Raj Talluri, senior vice president of product management at Qualcomm. “Qualcomm continues to bring console-quality gaming experiences to always-connected devices through the combination of exciting titles like ‘Max Payne Mobile,’ along with the graphics and wireless technology expertise that we design into each new Snapdragon processor.”
Additionally, Qualcomm announced it has entered into an agreement with developer Gameloft to bring 23 of the venerable game developer’s most popular titles to Google Play as part of the Snapdragon GamePack, including “Adventures of TinTin,” “BackStabHD,” “Block Breaker 3 ULTD,” “Order and Chaos Online HD” and “Ice Age Village.”
The Snapdragon GamePack launched at Qualcomm’s Uplinq mobile developer conference in 2011 and has continued to grow.
