Qualcomm Mexico, a leading provider of integrated wireless systems, applications and services to transportation and logistics companies in Mexico, announced the availability of its new platform, Qualcomm Fleet Solutions (QFS). The new platform provides transportation companies with tools to improve fleet efficiencies, reduce operating costs and strengthen the security of their vehicles and cargo. The addition of this new suite of services delivers solutions for the long haul and local fleet markets, such as passenger and service fleets, further complementing Qualcomm Mexico’s existing hardware and applications portfolio of in-cab and trailer tracking solutions.
Qualcomm Fleet Solutions is a modular system comprised of four distinct solution offerings: Security, Cost Control, Connect and Elite. The applications for each solution reside on a single platform designed to meet the changing needs of transportation customers.
“The new Qualcomm Fleet Solution suite from Qualcomm Mexico is robust enough to meet the needs of both small and large fleets and will provide customers with the solutions they need today and in the future,” said Jose Anaya, general manager of Qualcomm Mexico. “This new generation of products, coupled with the best customer service in the industry, demonstrates Qualcomm Mexico’s commitment to surpassing market needs and providing the best service in the industry.”
The modular concept of Qualcomm Fleet Solutions allows customers initially to adopt the entry-level product, Security, which provides the necessary fleet management tools and security functionality needed by transportation companies operating in Mexico. As customers’ needs evolve, additional functionality can be added to the entry level product, such as hardware to enable two-way communication between driver and dispatch or vehicle analytics data, both of which are bundled in the Elite solution. Alternative functionality to improve productivity and communication with their drivers, control fuel costs and increase vehicle performance or take advantage of all of these aspects for their fleet also can be enabled by Qualcomm Fleet Solutions dependant on the customers need.
In addition, Qualcomm Fleet Solutions provides a variety of reporting tools and analytics to assist transportation customers with managing all the data related to their operations, including identifying fleet and vehicle trends, controlling fuel and operation costs and regulating driver behavior.
