Big Brother fans will soon be able to watch 24/7 coverage of the BIG BROTHER: 'TIL DEATH DO YOU PART Houseguests from the convenience of their cell phones.
Following the success of last season's live video coverage out of the Big Brother house, MediaFLO USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), has again teamed up with CBS Mobile to offer a bonus FLO TV channel dedicated to BIG BROTHER: 'TIL DEATH DO YOU PART, giving fans the chance to watch a real-time, 24/7 live feed of activity from inside the Big Brother house. The special BIG BROTHER: 'TIL DEATH DO YOU PART channel will air hundreds of hours of live programming from February 12 through the season finale.
“We're very pleased to offer Big Brother fans a convenient way to 'live' with the Big Brother houseguests on their cell phones 24/7,” said Cyriac Roeding, executive vice president, CBS Mobile. “The new channel provides yet another way for fans to participate in the show without missing a beat when they are on the go.”
“Our goal with FLO TV is to give consumers compelling content, where they want it, and the BIG BROTHER: 'TIL DEATH DO YOU PART channel helps deliver on that promise,” said Mike Bailey, vice president of programming, MediaFLO USA. “This is another great example of the innovative programming opportunities only MediaFLO USA's FLO TV service can provide.”
The dedicated BIG BROTHER: 'TIL DEATH DO YOU PART channel will supplement regular programming from CBS Mobile, one of the services available on FLO TV. Other brands on the service include CSTV, CBS News, Comedy Central, ESPN, FOX, FOX News, FOX Sports, MTV, NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC, NickToons and Nickelodeon. All programs featured on FLO TV are available to consumers through a leading wireless carrier in more than 50 major metropolitan areas nationwide, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C. A complete list and map of available cities is available at www.flotv.com.
BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, the Houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end, the last remaining Houseguests will receive the grand prize of $500,000 and a second place prize of $50,000. Big Brother is executive produced by EMMY Award winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A.
To preserve the drama for BIG BROTHER television viewers, CBS may block or delay the live BIG BROTHER channel on FLO TV channel for a limited number of real-time events that transpire in the house.
