Qualcomm Takes BREW 2006 to the Next Level with Addition of Telecom Italia and Sprint to an Already Impressive BREW 2006 Conference Agenda

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced that executives from leading operators, Telecom Italia and Sprint are set to speak at the BREW 2006 Conference, which already features a roster of more than 90 sponsors and exhibitors from all realms of the wireless industry and all corners of the globe. This year's conference takes place May 31-June 2 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Following a year of notable milestones, deployments and success for the BREW® solution and the worldwide BREW community, the conference promises to deliver a distinct perspective on the progress of data services, as well as potential new trends within the industry. As the latest additions to the conference agenda, Telecom Italia and Sprint will each offer insights into the growth of advanced data services in the United States and Europe. Marking the second straight year a leading European operator has talked about the positive impact of BREW in the market, Luigi Licciardi, head of Handsets & Technical Solutions for Telecom Italia will present, “How Telecom Italia's Convergence Strategy is Driving Innovation in Europe's Most Advanced Mobile Market,” on Friday, June 2, in the general session at 10:20 a.m. Sprint is set to participate in two sessions during the event with Kevin Hunter, development manager for Sprint, leading the “Developing uiOne Themes for Sprint” session on Thursday, June 1, at 2:45 p.m., and Mike McMullen, product manager, Product Realization for Sprint, participating in the “Demystifying LBS Implementation and Deployment” business session on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
