Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, and Yulong Computer Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Wireless Technologies, today announced that the companies have signed a worldwide subscriber unit license agreement. Under the terms of the multi-million dollar, royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Yulong a worldwide license under its CDMA patent portfolio to develop, manufacture and sell subscriber units implementing any 3G CDMA standard (i.e, CDMA2000® 1X/1xEV-DO, WCDMA/UMTS). The royalties payable by Yulong are at Qualcomm's standard rates and are the same irrespective of the CDMA standard implemented by the subscriber unit.
