Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced its extensive agenda of speakers from around the world for its BREW 2005 Conference, to be held June 1-3 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. With a new, larger venue, BREW 2005 offers attendees the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the wireless data industry, as well as collaborate, network and form strategic relationships with leading operators, device manufacturers, publishers, developers and technology providers in the mobile marketplace. Centered on this year's theme of "BREW® for more," BREW 2005 will feature a 30 percent increase in in-depth technical and business sessions lead by respected leaders in the wireless industry and will highlight the global BREW community's advancements and opportunities in the areas of mobile gaming, customizable user interfaces, location-based services, multimedia, mobile messaging, business applications and a host of other segments.
The conference's general session will kick off on Thursday, June 2 with a welcome address from Peggy Johnson, president of Qualcomm Internet Services, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Qualcomm CEO-elect. Peter Adderton, founder and CEO of Amp'd Mobile, will deliver the keynote address on Friday, June 3 and the conference will feature additional general session presentations from notable industry leaders, including Makoto Takahashi, vice president and general manager, content and media business sector for KDDI Corporation; Manish Jha, senior vice president for ESPN Mobile and John Stratton, vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless.

The BREW 2005 Developer Awards ceremony will be hosted by Gina Lombardi, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Qualcomm Internet Services, on Friday, June 3 following the morning's first keynote address. The BREW 2005 Developer Awards honor the best applications in the following categories: Best Business Application, Best Location-Based Service Application, Best Communications Application, Best Information Application, Best Entertainment Application, Best Game Application, Best Ringtone Application and Most Innovative Use of Technology. This year's competition also includes a People's Choice Award, in which attendees vote on-site at BREW 2005 for their favorite application based on the finalists named in the eight other award categories.
Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the latest BREW applications and services demonstrated by the more than 70 exhibitors, including BREW operators, handset manufacturers, publishers and developers, showcasing their innovations in the BREW 2005 Partner Pavilion. BREW 2005 is also building on its reputation as the conference to mix business and fun. This year's BREWfest, an exclusive celebration for conference attendees, is scheduled on Thursday, June 2, and features a live performance by one of America's great rock and roll bands, Huey Lewis and The News.
