Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced that U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: XPRSA), an expedited truckload service provider, has extended its contract with Qualcomm to deploy the OmniTRACS® mobile communications system to its trucking fleet. The carrier has also joined Qualcomm's untethered trailer-tracking Product Direction Council, a group recently formed under the Qualcomm Consortium to help provide feedback to Qualcomm about product features for the new untethered trailer tracking system.
