Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leader in providing wireless data solutions, today announced that Ace Relocation Systems, Inc., an agent of Atlas World Group, has signed a contract with Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions to implement the OmniOne® mobile communications system as its wireless, driver-centric workforce solution. Ace Relocation Systems is the first household goods carrier to deploy the OmniOne system. Drivers will be able to use OmniOne-enabled mobile phones to communicate real-time with offices and accept or reject proposed shipment itineraries immediately. Qualcomm's OmniOne system also allows data to be easily integrated with back-office systems, helping to improve customer service and increase overall productivity.
"We see several benefits with implementing OmniOne both for ourselves as well as our partners, customers and drivers," said Larry Lammers, president of Ace Relocation Systems. "The system will help our drivers work more productively and ensure full loads, while continuing to provide quality relocation services to customers moving across town or across the United States. By implementing the OmniOne solution, we are continuing our commitment to combining the best transportation technologies with superior customer service."
"We are pleased that Ace Relocation Systems has chosen to incorporate OmniOne into its day-to-day business," said Glynn Spangenberg, vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions. "Ace Relocation Systems provides a broad range of relocation services, and the OmniOne system will allow drivers to track orders and get directions — all through their mobile phones."
