Qualcomm Teams with Leading Enterprise Vendors to Demonstrate 3G CDMA Mobile Data Solutions

LAS VEGAS -- October 21, 2003 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced an impressive team of industry-leading enterprise vendors that will demonstrate their enterprise solutions running wirelessly over a high-speed, third-generation (3G) CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network in Qualcomm's booth 849 at CTIA Wireless I.T.&Entertainment 2003, Oct. 21-23 at the Sands Expo&Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Each company will demonstrate its core enterprise and mobile solutions sending and retrieving data over CDMA2000 1xEV-DO. CDMA2000 1xEV-DO is a high-speed wireless wide area network (WAN) technology, commercially available today in the United States from Verizon Wireless and Monet Mobile Networks.

The participating companies and their showcase products are:

Cisco Systems, Inc. - Cisco is demonstrating the Cisco® Mobile Office solution which extends quick and secure access to business critical applications and information to mobile professionals. This enables them to reduce downtime, increase productivity and customer satisfaction whether they are at work, at home or on the road.

Citrix Systems - Citrix is demonstrating wireless access through the Citrix® MetaFrame®Access Suite, a set of products that provides a secure, single point of access to enterprise applications and information on demand.

IBM - IBM is demonstrating collaboration and messaging applications from the WebSphere® software and Lotus® Software product families including IBM WebSphere Everyplace™ Connection Manager and IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing.

Knowledge Anywhere, Inc. - Specializing in Web-based performance support systems, Knowledge Anywhere is demonstrating media rich learning solutions for corporate employee education and training programs.

Microsoft Corporation - Microsoft® is highlighting the new mobile and remote advantages found in Microsoft Exchange® 2003 and Outlook® 2003 which enables information workers to stay connected to critical business applications and in control of when and how they communicate.

Mitchell International, Inc. - Mitchell International, Inc., a leading provider of information and workflow solutions to the automotive insurance claims industry, will demonstrate Mitchell eClaim Manager, its popular application that transforms the conventional claims settlement process into a streamlined electronic workflow to yield significant hard cost reductions, productivity gains and improved customer satisfaction.

NetMotion Wireless - NetMotion Wireless is demonstrating NetMotion™ Mobility, an easily deployed, software-only mobile computing solution that provides continuous secure wireless connectivity between enterprise applications and mobile clients - no matter what networks mobile workers use or traverse.

PeopleSoft - PeopleSoft is demonstrating PeopleSoft® CRM, a comprehensive customer relationship management solution which empowers mobile selling teams with the ability to improve productivity through easy access to applications, streamline sales cycles and convert opportunities to orders quickly, and reduce order entry errors through automatic back-office synchronization.
