Qualcomm Deploys Industry-Leading Wireless Data Solutions to Provide High-Value Cargo Products and Services to 45 Transportation Fleets

ORLANDO, Fla. -- March 10, 2003 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced at the 65th Annual Truckload Carriers' Association (TCA) that it has either signed new or renewed key agreements with 45 U.S. carriers to deploy mobile communications system units on board their fleet. Each of the 45 fleets have shown a commitment to improving productivity while enhancing fleet vehicle utilization with state-of-the-art, high-value cargo solutions.

Qualcomm's newest customers that have signed include Bavarian Motor Transport, Contract Transport Services, Gulf Mark, Keith Smith Trucking, Mission Petroleum Carriers, RBX, Summit Trucking, S&H Express and Sunrise Express. Commitment to excellence and customer service were cited as two of the reasons existing Qualcomm customers have renewed their agreements this quarter. These customers include Appalachian Freight Carriers, Ard Trucking, Cox Petroleum, Davis Transfer, Fort Worth Cattle, Gainey Transportation, Gene Hyde Trucking, Jacobson Transport, Little Bear Transport, Inc., McKelvey Trucking Co., and MP Environmental Services.
