SAN DIEGO -- January 24, 2003 -- In a special tribute to the NFL, Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) and the San Diego Symphony held a special performance on January 23 at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego. The San Diego Super Symphony performance included highlights of Super Bowl moments and was accompanied by an original score of orchestral and jazz music. The program was also a salute to San Diego's finest symphonic and blues talent.

The concert featured four of San Diego's finest blues musicians: Robin Henkle, Etoile "Ruby" Presnell, Billy Thompson and Leonard Tucker. Consummate jazz pianist, Michael Leroy Peed, who contributed to the orchestral arrangements for this concert, conducted the entire program.

"The San Diego Symphony's original score of orchestral and jazz music combined with NFL highlights was one of the first of its kind in San Diego," said Jeffrey K. Belk, senior vice president of marketing for Qualcomm. "Qualcomm is proud to have been a part of this unique and special symphony performance that saluted the NFL and featured local talent, showcasing the arts and culture of our hometown."
