Qualcomm Congratulates Movilnet on the Rollout of Third-Generation Services in Venezuela

SAN DIEGO -- November 21, 2002 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, congratulates Movilnet, a Cantv (ADR) company and provider of products and services for voice, data, Internet access, cellular telephony and telephone directories, on its commercial launch of third-generation (3G) CDMA2000 1X services. Movilnet recently commenced its 3G services at a launch ceremony held November 20, 2002 in Caracas, Venezuela.
