SAN DIEGO -- October 28, 2002 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced the certification of transportation software providers Aurora Software, FreightDATA Software and GPSNet Technologies to its Partner Program. The newly certified software providers are part of a program, first established by Qualcomm in 1996, to recognize software companies that successfully integrate their transportation management software programs with Qualcomm's mobile communications systems.

Qualcomm's Certified Software Providers Program identifies companies that have successfully developed an interface between their transportation management software and Qualcomm's mobile communications software, known as QTRACS. Each program participant has met certain qualification standards to enter the program, which include developing the interface components to Qualcomm specifications, providing their transportation management system specifications and software support policy, and having an established customer base.
