Qualcomm Executive Honored with YWCA's Distinguished TWIN Award

Gina Lombardi Recognized for Significant Contributions to the Industry

Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) today announced that Gina Lombardi, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Qualcomm Internet Services, received the prestigious YWCA Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award at the 23rd Annual TWIN Awards luncheon held Thursday, May 30, 2002, at the San Diego Convention Center. The TWIN Award recognizes successful women executives throughout the United States for their outstanding achievements and positive contributions to their organizations.

"With her many accomplishments and her tireless dedication to Qualcomm and the wireless industry, Gina is clearly a deserving recipient of this award," said Peggy Johnson, president of Qualcomm Internet Services. "Gina epitomizes what the TWIN Award represents through the leadership she provides."

Lombardi began her career at Qualcomm in 1990, eventually moving into product development and management in the mid 1990s. After driving a number of successful product launches for Qualcomm Consumer Products, Lombardi spearheaded the development and deployment of the core engineering and product management group that created Qualcomm's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™ (BREW™) platform. Lombardi also holds 10 design patents for Qualcomm CDMA handsets.
