Qualcomm CDMA Technologies Recognizes Key Supplier Performance

SAN DIEGO -- May 21, 2001 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced two annual awards recognizing the outstanding performance of key suppliers for the Company's Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) division. For calendar year 2000, Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS) was honored as Supplier of the Year for demonstrating the highest delivery quality and customer service performance throughout the year, while Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSMC), was presented with the Pursuit of Excellence award for demonstrating the highest percentage improvement in delivery, quality and customer service performance throughout the year. As a fabless semiconductor firm, QCT relies on the timely and consistent performance of development and manufacturing partners.
