SAN DIEGO -- July 11, 2000 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced that it has entered into a CDMA and High Data Rate (HDR) technology subscriber unit license agreement with the First International Computer (FIC) Group (TSE: 2319) headquartered in Taiwan, Republic of China (ROC). Under the terms of the multi-million dollar, royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted FIC a license under certain Qualcomm intellectual property to develop, manufacture and sell subscriber units and modem card products for CDMA and HDR for wireless application devices.
