SAN DIEGO -- March 14, 2000 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced that Lowell, Ark.-based JB Hunt, has signed a new contract with Qualcomm renewing its commitment to the OmniTRACS® mobile communications system. In addition to the OmniTRACS system renewal, the terms of the agreement allow JB Hunt to equip its entire fleet with the JTRACS Pro Vehicle Data Gateway®.
JTRACS Pro combines real-time vehicle diagnostics reporting with the ability to access and monitor third-party systems and devices via Qualcomm's Vehicle Data Gateway technology.
