The Retriever™ pilot scanner/testphone provides technicians with portable, wireless over-the-air testing ofnetwork and handset performance over CDMA digital cellular and PCS networks.

The Retriever pilot scanner, available in 800-MHz and 1900-MHz versions,provides three network optimization functions for carriers. As a scanner,it can check all 512 PNs (cell sector numbers) in less than two seconds,then provide programmable on-screen views of PNs, Ec/Io (signal clarity),and neighbor-list violations. As a test phone, the Retriever pilot scannerallows test engineers to change over-the-air parameters in the phonewithout disturbing the network. Finally, as a standard, dual-mode digitalwireless handset, it allows field engineers to stay in touch with theirhome offices and other field personnel.
