Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced the promotion of Phil White to senior vice president of its OmniTRACS® Division. White will also continue in his current position as general manager of OmniTRACS. As senior vice president, White assumes leadership of the OmniTRACS Division and replaces John Sarto who has left Qualcomm to pursue another career opportunity.

Since joining Qualcomm's OmniTRACS Division in 1987, White has served as division controller, vice president of finance, vice president and general manager of OmniTRACS international business and most recently, vice president and general manager of the OmniTRACS Division. Prior to joining Qualcomm, White held various finance management positions at M/A-Com Linkabit in San Diego, Calif. White holds a B.A. in business from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition, White currently serves as chairman of the board of Corporacion Nacional Radiodeterminacion, a satellite communications provider in Mexico and as a board member for Alcatel Qualcomm, a joint venture partner in Europe.
