ExpressVPN joins the Copilot+ PC universe powered by Snapdragon
Award-winning virtual private network (VPN) service ExpressVPN is heading to Windows Copilot+PCs powered by Snapdragon, providing users with a way to further secure their online presence.
You might be wondering, “What does it matter to me?” Imagine going shopping and having the store associates track down your every move as you browse the aisles. Or how about going to the library and having the librarian hover over your shoulder as you read a book? Sounds invasive, doesn’t it? The same goes for your internet activity.
You shouldn’t have to worry about your internet service provider (ISP) knowing more about you than they already do. That’s why a lot of people opt to use a VPN. They are easy-to-use apps that encrypt your internet connection and mask your IP address so when you browse the web, websites and servers can’t detect where you are or other information about your device.
Whether you’re online shopping, filling out forms or simply catching up on articles from your favorite news outlet, VPNs give you the autonomy to do all these things without worrying about who’s tracking your data. They prevent ISPs, Wi-Fi operators and other third parties from seeing the sites you visit, while also masking your IP address so that it can’t be used to identify or track you online, giving you greater anonymity.
It's why earlier this year, leading digital security software provider Kape Technologies, which owns ExpressVPN, worked with Qualcomm Technologies to launch Private Internet Access VPN for Snapdragon X Elite platforms, with a focus on developing it on Snapdragon and optimizing it for the Snapdragon X Elite platform. Because of the rapid adoption of Snapdragon X Elite and user demand for VPNs, Kape and Qualcomm Technologies accelerated the development of ExpressVPN for Windows on Snapdragon.
Available now, it’s the latest in a growing wave of apps that are supporting Snapdragon X Elite platform, which has enabled a new generation of artificial intelligence-powered Windows PCs. The addition of the critically lauded ExpressVPN underscores how the platform is moving quickly to meet the demands of consumers and enterprise customers.
ExpressVPN will release its new app for Copilot+PCs powered by Snapdragon so consumers and businesses will be able to enhance their privacy and security. ExpressVPN joins a host of key apps — everything from Microsoft’s suite of productivity tools such as Word and PowerPoint to Zoom, Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Bitwarden — that work smoothly on a Windows PC powered by Snapdragon.
