We’re making work, life, and play sound better than ever [audio]
An intro to the new AI-based noise cancellation features in the Qualcomm Audio and Voice Communication Suite

Qualcomm products mentioned within this post are offered by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries.

Imagine you’re in a virtual meeting about to present your latest project to your boss when your next-door neighbor decides it’s a great time to start using his wind-blower. If that’s not enough, your newborn begins crying and your dog starts barking. Next thing you know, you’re screaming into the mic. Does that sound familiar? We have all had these experiences while working remotely.
While video conferencing call applications have helped bring us all together during these unusual times, they can’t control what happens in the background. But now you can…
The Qualcomm Audio and Voice Communication Suite has been upgraded with AI capabilities. The suite’s echo cancellation noise suppression (ECNS) algorithms are now based on AI, versus conventional methods. Using AI means that we can train the neural networks to understand even more types of noises while allowing algorithms to track the noise and de-noise better — requiring only a single microphone instead of an array.
Starting with our Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G Mobile Platform you can truly enjoy the freedom of uninterrupted voice communications independent of your surroundings. And it’s all possible due to the amazing 5th Generation of the Qualcomm AI Engine AI and our Qualcomm Sensing Hub that runs the latest AI-based echo cancellation and noise suppression technologies.
Hear the difference:
The Qualcomm Audio and Voice Communication Suite includes technologies such as:
- Multi-mic Noise Cancellation
- Receive Voice Enhancements
- Wind Noise Reduction
- Far-end Noise Suppression
- Slow Talk
With AI-based ECNS, the Qualcomm Audio and Voice Communication Suite has never been so powerful, enabling our customers to create the devices that deliver the sound quality you deserve.
We are truly excited to bring this new technology to our users as we understand the challenges from working remote.
