If two’s company, three’s a crowd, and four’s a party, then the launch of the OnePlus 3 was quite the event. The Snapdragon powered flagship smartphone is the hottest ticket in town for anyone and everyone interested in an intuitive, lightning-fast mobile experience with the latest Snapdragon security features.

The OnePlus 3 has come a long way since its predecessor debuted last August. And it’s no accident that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is at the heart of the device. The OnePlus 3 performs tasks 35 percent faster with a 40 percent boost in graphics compared to the OnePlus 2—all while consuming a fraction of the power.

Blazing fast connectivity

Less time waiting means more time spent binging on Netflix. Thanks to the X12 LTE modem integrated into the Snapdragon 820, spotty internet is a problem of the past. The modem provides up to 33 percent faster 4G+ LTE speeds compared to the previous generation, so web pages and video streams load quickly and seamlessly. And with 802.11ac MU-MIMO support, the OnePlus 3 can download files faster with its 3X increase in user speeds and longer battery life, compared to traditional Wi-Fi.

High-definition multimedia

These days, no party’s complete without photos to share with friends. You’ve got that covered thanks to the OnePlus 3’s 16MP camera that supports Qualcomm Spectra ISP, a rapid autofocus system that makes sure that a steady hand isn’t needed for panoramic photos. And to ensure that subjects on the move are captured clearly, touch-to-track technology tracks the subject and takes sharp, focused photos you’d think were taken with a DSLR camera.

Qualcomm ChromaFlash is designed to eliminate the need for Instagram filters; the advanced photography feature can scan a photo taken in low light, intelligently identify areas that need to be brightened, then use noise reduction technology to sharpen the image. The final product? A bright, crisp image despite a low-light setting.

Overall 3D gaming experiences are enhanced as well with the integration of the Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU. The superior graphics engine is 40 percent faster and more power efficient than the GPU found in the previous Snapdragon generation.

Tight security

Perhaps most importantly, personal information stored in the OnePlus 3 takes advantage of the latest Snapdragon safety technology. The smartphone features a more durable ceramic fingerprint sensor that not only unlocks in under 0.3 seconds, but also improves its accuracy with increased use. And to help protect data from hacks, Qualcomm Haven Security is integrated into the OnePlus 3, engineered to protect content, deter theft, detect malware, and provide superior authentication.

With the help of the Snapdragon 820, the OnePlus 3 is redefining the flagship phone. The smartphone comes in graphite and soft gold, and is available today.

Qualcomm Snapdragon, Qualcomm Spectra, Qualcomm ChromaFlash, Qualcomm Adreno, and Qualcomm Haven Security are products of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
