Acer has unveiled four new notebooks capable of blazing-fast connectivity for life on the go. Both the Acer Aspire V 13 and Aspire V Nitro notebooks, as well as the Aspire R 13 convertible notebook, will feature Qualcomm VIVE 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Qualcomm MU | EFX MU-MIMO technology.

For everything from gaming to 4K video streaming, the benefits are clear: VIVE Wi-Fi with MU | EFX MU-MIMO is designed to deliver downloads that are three times faster than those of other 802.11ac products, especially on crowded networks. That’s because MU-MIMO networks increase connection efficiency by serving multiple devices simultaneously.

“Qualcomm MU | EFX MU-MIMO technology holds tremendous benefit for the connected user experience, and we’re pleased to provide this option for Acer’s new Aspire R Series Notebooks,” said Rahul Patel, senior vice president and general manager, connectivity at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “With Qualcomm MU-MIMO in computing devices, smartphones routers and access points, we are anticipating users will experience faster, more efficient network availability for downloading, streaming, browsing, and gaming.”

The next generation of the Acer Aspire R convertible notebook series looks to maximize your productivity with sleek hardware that seamlessly blends function and form to suit your needs. These versatile devices gracefully transition between four distinct modes:

  • Laptop: provides the classic keyboard input
  • Display: flips the monitor for easy collaboration
  • Tent: locks the device into an A-frame for confined spaces
  • Tablet: makes full use of the touchscreen for casual computing

Acer V Nitro

The refreshed Aspire V Nitro notebooks remain the computing powerhouses fans of the series have come to expect. Both 17-inch and 15-inch Aspire V Nitro models feature a brand new slot-antenna design, which is discretely positioned to ensure full 360-degree coverage. Add that to the VIVE Wi-Fi with MU | EFX MU-MIMO technology, and anybody looking for an immersive multimedia or gaming experience with no lag is sure to be happy.

Consider the new Aspire V 13 notebook for anybody from college students to business professionals looking for well-rounded computing and unrivaled connectivity wherever they happen to be. These notebooks feature Acer CrystalEye HD webcams, and are Skype for Business certified, which promises an audio visual experience without gaps or lags. And Cortana, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant, is at the ready to help with everything from managing your calendar to tracking packages.
