Last year Qualcomm Technologies collaborated with an incredibly innovative startup called OnePlus on the development of its debut product, the OnePlus One, a smartphone optimized for Android enthusiasts. Following the success of the original, the recently announced OnePlus 2, featuring the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, has some big shoes (pockets?) to fill, and the word on the Web, including an Editors' Choice from PCMag.com, is that it doesn’t disappoint. Of course, with a company mantra like “Never settle,” was there ever a doubt?

If you’re one of the millions of mobile enthusiasts hoping to snag the OnePlus 2, we don’t blame you, but there’s a catch. Just like with last year’s debut, anybody looking to preorder the device will need an invite. You can sign up to reserve one along with the other 3.7 million fans, or you can enter for a chance to win one of 15 invites in our OnePlus Invite Sweepstakes on Twitter

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Sign into your Twitter account.
  2. Follow Qualcomm at https://twitter.com/Qualcomm.
  3. Search for the hashtag #OnePlusQ to find the @Qualcomm sweepstakes tweet, and Retweet for your chance to win

The sweepstakes runs August 19, 2015, from 8:00 am to 11:59 pm PT, and is open to US residents 18 and older (full terms and conditions).

Here’s what the pros are saying about the OnePlus 2:

“It’s our new Editors’ Choice for unlocked smartphones, offering unparalleled value and performance in a spectacular complete package. You just have to be lucky enough to get an invitation to buy one.” - PCMag.com

“OnePlus’ software implementation is graceful and minimalist, with thoughtful additions like the ability to swap between on-screen navigation buttons versus using the capacitive buttons below the screen” - The Verge

“The [OnePlus 2] continues to offer what we loved about the original, with some refinements and useful additions along the way, while also maintaining its biggest selling point, an unbeatable price tag.” - Android Authority

To all you fans of innovative smartphones: Good luck!
