In September of last year, Qualcomm Technologies extended the benefits of LTE and Carrier Aggregation to entry-level smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and 210 processors. Building upon that commitment to drive high-performance computing in this tier, we are announcing upgrades to these processors in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 412 and 212.

Each will feature increased speeds support for more responsive interactions and an improved experience. The Snapdragon 412 and 212 will each boast a higher frequency CPU and Qualcomm Adreno GPU for improved performance. The Snapdragon 412 will also have improved memory speeds. Both processors still contain the same great features as their predecessors.

The Snapdragon 412 is 64-bit capable, and is engineered to deliver superior graphics performance with the Adreno 306 GPU. It features support for 1080p video playback, an up to a 13 Megapixel camera, and integrates X5 LTE for up to Cat 4 speeds.

The Snapdragon 212 processor also offers support for integrated X5 LTE for entry-level smartphones and tablets. It has comprehensive mainstream features, and integrated Adreno 304 GPU, and support for up to an 8 Megapixel camera and Full HD video capture and playback.
